I specialize in working with families, couples, and individuals: adults and adolescents. My experience working with families includes pre-marital and marital counseling for couples, as well as work with parents and teens. I also work with male perpetrators of abuse/domestic violence, sexual addictions, adolescent life-stage issues, marital conflict, anxiety disorders and mood disorders.
My clinical focus is marriage and family therapy from a Christ-centered perspective. I hold two Masters of Arts degrees, in Marriage and Family Counseling and Christian Education, from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a Doctor of Educational Ministry degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
My doctoral dissertation was on the topic of domestic abuse policies and protocols in the local church. I am the co-author, with my doctoral supervisor Jeremy Pierre, of When Home Hurts: A Guide for Responding Wisely to Domestic Abuse in Your Church.
