Whether this is your first time in therapy, or you have been to therapy before, I respect the fact that you are reaching out. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and address your concerns. Prior to the first session I will send you a form to complete, which will ask you several background questions. This will be very helpful as we get to know each other. We will do a preliminary treatment plan, where we will discuss your treatment goals and how you might start achieving them. I offer telehealth statewide mornings, evenings and weekends.
Among the conditions I work with are depression, anxiety, substance use, relationship concerns, life transitions, trauma and sexual orientation/identity. I am comfortable treating dual disorders: mental health and addictions. I also help those that are looking to complete a AODA assessment and meet the requirements to get your drivers license reinstated.
Besides my educational and professional experiences, I have gone through my own life experiences and challenges. Reaching out for support is a strength. I aim to bring out your strengths to achieve your goals. I may challenge you at times to help you achieve those goals.
