From our very first contact, I think you will find that I'm easy to talk to. I pride myself on being a good listener, and I believe you will experience me as warm, genuine, and supportive. I'm not one of those quiet therapists; I openly and honestly share my thoughts, questions, and perceptions. You will also find me to be (gently) challenging when you need and want to be challenged. I take your confidentiality and privacy very seriously. And, while much of what we discuss will be serious, I do have a sense of humor that I don't leave at the door.
I am a PhD psychologist with 30 years of experience. I have served on Boards of Directors of national and Austin-based organizations; coauthored 45 journal articles, books, and book chapters; and provided 60+ professional presentations. For 20 years, I have overseen the national process that annually places 4000 psychology graduate students into internship positions.
