South Asian Support Group

This interpersonal process group was created for young South Asian adults, ages 18-30, located in New York state. Targeted for those who would like to reflect on and learn how to embrace one’s “desi” identity, cultivate a supportive community and normalize the struggles among the South Asian community, and learn how to improve communication skills to foster strong connections with others. Additionally, this group serves the purpose of teaching coping skills to navigate cultural obstacles and difficult emotions with tolerance. This is an interpersonal process group for adults in their 20's and 30's located in New York. Targeted for those who feel “disconnected” (interpersonally, career-wise, familial, etc.) and struggle with meeting new people, feel distant in current relationships they already have, feel ambivalent about remaining in NYC, or suffer from “social battery drainage” and crave more social activity.
