Clients who come with a specific need (depression, anxiety, grief, relationship problems), and a willingness to change, will find therapy most efficient and effective. Many people come with a general sense of what is wrong, but seek therapy to help identify the meaning and source of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that are disturbing. Therapeutic goals can be as simple as diagnosing the concern and developing life strategies to manage symptoms. Goals can be as complicated as working through a history of multiple diagnosis offered by multiple providers and identifying what will work best for this client, then offering treatment.
We are a general practice that has significant experience working with trauma, stress, depression, anxiety and loss. We have therapists who work with children, youth and adults. Our specialty is working with first responders, such as fire, police, corrections, ems and deputies, but we offer our services to the general public when time allows.
Life can be complicated. Demands on our time, and emotional resources increase daily. Each of us have periods when the demands exceed the resources and we need to stop and reassess our needs and goals. Symptoms of mental health concerns are often our brains way of saying, "its time to slow down and reassess". When that happens; we are here.
