I identify and treat individuals and families for a wide range of problems and conflicts. I see children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. My goal is to assist my clients in dealing with problems that interfere with daily life and work and make them more effective in achieving personal goals. Client population includes professionals, couples, families, students who are willing to actively participate in therapy. I work with psychiatrists in the area coordinating the patient's therapy and assisting them in getting off their medications. I have numerous publications dealing with the effects of psychiatric medications and relapse.
I use an integrative approach using all theoretical models & do not use just one technique. I match the appropriate technique that best fits each patient.Specializing & published in anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, effects of medication, relapse, couples, family, divorce, conflict resolution, parenting which includes attention deficit, oppositional defiant, Asperger's disorders.
In practice over 35 years, taught doctoral level 12 years, & published. I am more verbal & more direct than most therapists, I always answer all questions, I never answer a question with a question, I never say "how does that make you feel" or "what do you think you should do."
