People come to therapy with wounds. And it is in these wounds that the light shines through. In therapy, we learn we need not fear the places where one feels stuck, overwhelmed or enslaved. My approach to psychotherapy is holistic, integrating mind body and spirit, through a variety of modalities. My diverse background has deepened my understanding for those wrestling with existential, spiritual and religious belonging, life transitions, sexual orientation, relational challenges and childhood traumas.
I have 25+years working with the healing process of trauma, releasing stress deeply buried in the body, while simultaneously integrating meaning to the narrative of traumatic events via IFS and EMDR. In therapy, we work together to give the past experiences a place in your story releasing you from being victim to victorious.
I hold certifications in EMDR, EFT (for trauma) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (attachment trauma), somatic therapies and Nutrition. Additionally, I have 5 years of IFS training. My mentors and teachers include Drs. Dan Siegel, Janina Fischer and Gerry Crete, to name a few.
