If you've experienced trauma that caused you to suppress, avoid, and close yourself off from the world - to deny your needs & make yourself small - I feel you. I tried coping with trauma by turning against myself, and it only increased the shame and isolation. I'm sure there's a part of you who is curious about finding another way, who realizes you are more than your struggles. Together, we can experiment with changing your relationship to your anxiety, OCD, trauma, and identity concerns, so you can reconnect with what you need to live a rich and fulfilling life.
I use evidence-based interventions such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and somatic practices. I also pull from healing modalities that are validated by community & culture rather than institutional research boards, such as art, music, books, breathwork, etc.
The most common feeling my clients have at the end of our first session is relief. They often share how our conversation was much smoother than anticipated - and even question why they didn't reach out sooner. I'm a big fan of small experiments that move you in the direction of your values - and maybe reaching out to me is your next values-driven decision.

Groups
New York Mental Health Club
This is a group for New Yorkers ages 23-45 who are looking to foster meaningful relationships with themselves and others. We'll incorporate open processing, skill-building, and somatic practices to work through feelings of loneliness, stuckness, and disconnection. We're hoping to keep it small with 8-10 participants beginning on Monday, November 4th - just in time to ease the transition into the winter and holiday season.
