I have a love of social justice advocacy and consider it an essential part of my role as a mental health therapist. I aim to empower clients to look to their personal experiences as a source of resilience through a humanistic, strength-based approach to counseling while encouraging clients to view mental wellness from a holistic perspective. I enjoy incorporating elements of mindfulness into my clinical work with all ages. My approach to counseling considers the intersectional nature of lived experience and the ways our diverse identities inform how we view ourselves.
I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy Levels 1 and 2. My specialties include Multicultural Counseling, Racial Trauma, Identity Development, Life Transitions, Neurodiversity (Autism and ADHD), Couples and Relationship Therapy, Disordered Eating and Self-Esteem concerns, and LGBTQIA+ identities.
I hold deep respect for the commitment you are making to yourself through therapy. Building a genuine therapeutic relationship and offering a warm and open environment to work toward your goals is my first priority. I welcome all clients to feel empowered by their choice to seek counseling and am honored to be considered to work with you on your journey.
