My goal as a mental health counselor is to help and guide my clients towards achieving inner peace and stability to live a balanced life. Life can be full of concerns, struggles, and difficulties that cause anxiety, depression, peer and family conflicts, unwanted stress. In providing a safe and non-judgemental space, my clients are able to work on developing new coping strategies, positive behaviors, and healthy thinking. I am OASAS (Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services-NYS) certified to conduct clinical screenings and assessments for New York State. I am contracted with an OASAS approved lab for random toxicology screenings. I have specialized training in the following areas Mindfulness-Based- Cognitive Therapy, Clinical Trauma, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
My clinical background includes working at a psychiatric hospital since 2010 in the outpatient substance abuse clinic-working with clients who struggle with addictive disorders & mental health disorders.
