About
As a therapist, I create a safe and supportive environment in which a collaborative and goal-oriented relationship can develop. Through this safe and supportive relationship I assist people in increasing awareness of themselves and begin the journey of healing, growth, and change.
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing life transitions (e.g. immigration, job loss, new parent, etc.), symptoms of depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I enjoy working with individuals in various life stages and come from different backgrounds. I also enjoy working with couples preparing for marriage.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and evidence based practices in my treatment of clients and consider each client's unique context and cultural (e.g., race, gender, SES, community, spirituality) background and integrates these constructs in my treatment.
