My philosophy as a counselor is to provide unconditional support and a willingness to enter into your personal experience alongside you. I create a judgement free and confidential space for you to express yourself and your emotional needs. I work with a variety of mental health issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues as well as mood disorders. I believe that counseling is a way towards growth and healing.

I am a PhD level professional clinical counselor, physical therapist, certified professional coach and (RYT), with expertise in individual, group, and relationship therapy licensed in OH and FL. I have been working with infertility for 25+ years and a neonatal developmental specialist. I am a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and co- founder of Dare2Care, a Cleveland based LGBTQ focused anti-bullying organization, now an embedded program of the Cleveland Leadership Center. I have significant experience working with grief, loss and relationship betrayal and approach this work from a trauma model.

Hello! I'm happy you're reading my profile since there are many profiles on this website. You might ask, "How am I different from other therapists?" Well, for starters, I am a man (I can't believe how many female therapists there are on Cleveland's west side!). My chief strength is helping adults, adolescents, and children who are struggling with depression and anxiety. I have been told by my clients they feel comfortable talking with me. Some of them have described me as calm and serene (My friends would laugh at this. Outside of therapy, I can be intense and anything but serene.)

I use a collaborative approach in understanding and appreciating each client's story, goals, and desire for change. While meeting with clients, I hope to support, educate and motivate so that health, wellness and a mindful approach can be utilized by clients as they move forward and live fully. My treatment philosophy includes providing a safe, open and confidential environment in which clients can discuss, learn and try out new ways of communicating and being in relationships, managing and living with a variety of mental/physical health issues, and fully realizing their goals and potential.
