About
I provide cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for a variety of mental health conditions. CBT is a goal focused therapy that involves techniques like learning coping strategies, tracking thinking patterns, and changing daily routines. You might be a good fit for this type of treatment if you have a particular set of symptoms you'd like to reduce (e.g., depression, anxiety, insomnia) or if you have a specific life stressor you'd like to address (e.g., experience of physical or sexual violence, combat, exposure to trauma in the workplace). I provide therapy exclusively via telehealth because I want to make treatment easier to access.
I have particular expertise in treating posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I provide two types of evidence-based PTSD treatment: prolonged exposure and cognitive processing therapy. I also offer cognitive processing therapy in a massed or condensed format. This format allows patients to complete a full course of treatment in a single work week.
Many people suffer with mental health symptoms at some point in their lives, especially if they've experienced trauma. Fortunately, these symptoms do not have to become chronic. Don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to learn more about how to address your symptoms. Good Neighbor Psychology treats patients who reside anywhere in Illinois or New York State
