At Golden Opportunities, we offer groups designed to foster intellectual growth, cognitive stimulation, and perhaps most importantly, social connection for senior citizens. If you or a loved one is living with mild or moderate dementia, our Cognitive Connections Workshop may interest you. Based on principles of cognitive stimulation therapy, it combines social interaction with organized activities intended to stimulate memory, concentration, and other cognitive processes.
If you are caring for someone with dementia, our Caregiver Education & Support Group is here for you. Sessions focus on developing effective communication skills, learning to problem-solve, managing the emotional rollercoaster of caring for a loved one, and ensuring self-care. You will be given a a safe and empathic space to share your personal journey.
