Starting therapy can be a scary, overwhelming process. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help, whether for you, your relationship or your child. I listen closely to you to understand your experience and the specifics of what’s making life difficult right now. Sometimes you don’t feel good and don’t really know why—and sometimes you do know why, but things aren’t getting any better anyway. Talking it through with someone can help. In session, I strive to create a space of compassionate, patient curiosity where we can find a way to make meaning out of what’s going on together.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy because they feel stuck, unfulfilled, or unable to cope. Often my clients have had painful experiences in their childhoods that continue to impact them. I also specialize in work with children, adolescents, single parents, blended families and foster families.
