As a person in recovery myself, I have both personal and professional experience to help those desiring help with untreated addiction and/or unresolved trauma. In order to recover, you need to know what you are recovering from. My work with co-occurring disorders including mental health, substance abuse and trauma started in a hospital on the Dual Diagnosis unit then grew into working as a trauma therapist and from there, working as both a residential and IOP therapist at a treatment center for chemical dependency and eating disorders. Being in recovery gives me the insight and perspective in which to help you with your journey.
Because I have an eclectic set of tools in my toolbox, we work together to find the intervention that works best for you. Talk therapy? ART? Hypnotherapy? Mindfulness? I am master level certified in ART, a trauma processing modality, as well has having experience and techniques in a variety of other interventions including CBT, DBT, ACT, PE, and Hypnosis.
I strive to provide an environment that is safe and free of judgment, a place where it is okay to not be okay, while you explore ways to heal in a manner that works for you.
