I take an active and down-to-earth approach to helping people explore new ways of managing their emotions and relating to others. I enjoy helping clients slow down and connect to their emotions and inner resources through mindful tracking and self-compassion. I've had over a decade experience helping clients develop emotional resilience, the ability to remain grounded in the face of strong feelings rather than becoming anxious or depressed. I draw on my 15+ years experience with daily mindfulness practice, which has deepened my ability to connect compassionately to my clients and their experience.

One of my specialties is working with young adults as they navigate issues such as identity, relationships, self-esteem, and emotional maturation. I also specialize in group therapy and have served on the board of Austin Group Psychotherapy Society. I currently lead three psychotherapy groups, two for young adults.

Mindfulness-based therapies can actually change the brain into deeper states of resilience, contentment, and inner resource. I love seeing my clients make these shifts and am honored by the chance to support them in this type of deep work. Its work worth doing!

Glenn Olds's Groups

Young Adult Group (21-35)

I am a strong believer in the power of group therapy as an avenue for personal growth. Within the therapy group, people tend to socially engage in ways that are familiar. By helping members to slow down and encouraging a culture of curiosity and exploration, group members have the opportunity to become aware of their own interpersonal dynamics and then explore new modes of engagement. Additionally, almost all of us are curious to know how we are perceived by others. Group provides members with an opportunity to give and receive this gift of authentic feedback within a safe, supportive environment.
