My name is Glendoria Stephens and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida. I work full-time as a Crisis Counselor and part-time on a telehealth platform. In the telehealth setting, I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relationship conflict. use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to encourage a change in negative thoughts, identify strengths, and focus on solutions to progress and improve their lives.
My client population is adults of varied backgrounds, experiencing anxiety depression, life transitions, and relationship conflicts. I work to help clients understand their physical response to external stressors, and begin to problem-solve ways to introduce moments of calm, with encouragement to choose to respond rather than react in the face of change.
My communication style is empathetic, offering compassion and gentle guidance to help the client sort through the things that are difficult. I assist with a strength-based approach that is interactive, non-judgmental, and positions clients as the experts on where they are now, and where they want to go.
