My approach is warm, engaged and focused in the present moment. I support individuals, couples and families to improve communication skills, self-esteem and relationship capacities. I make use of techniques that deepen the mind-body connection to help individuals heal from symptoms of stress, trauma and loss. I use an integrative approach that is rooted in Somatic, Humanistic-Existential and Transpersonal psychologies.
I have extensive training and clinical experience in body-oriented approaches to psychotherapy with specialization in trauma. My work with couples and individuals is informed by a relational and attachment based approach. I'm experienced with psychedelic assisted therapy from clinical and research context.
Being originally from Brazil and having lived in the Bay Area for 25 years, I have an expertise in multicultural and immigration issues. I'm fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and have extensive experience working with culturally diverse clients, mixed couples and blended families.
