Talking to a therapist can help. If you decide to meet with me, my first goal will be to connect with you, and help you feel understood. Working from this connection, I will try to help you understand more of yourself, and know how to change using the therapeutic techniques most appropriate for your characteristics and needs.
I studied Philosophy and Psychology, and I worked in Italy several years. In the U.S., I obtained a PhD in Psychology at the University of Michigan, and I have been working as a therapist in Ann Arbor for 16 years. I teach psychoanalysis and supervise at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan and at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.
My areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, work and career problems, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, intimacy difficulties, trauma, loss and bereavement, divorce, parenting, emotional abuse, and sexual abuse. My office is conveniently located in downtown Ann Arbor, with parking available.
