My specialty is creating a safe space where clients can explore issues of concern, strengthen their resilience, and gain perspective. I welcome a wide variety of clients. My clinical practice includes people dealing with depression and anxiety, life transitions, relational challenges, grief, trauma, mood disorders, and addictions. I particularly enjoy working with couples and families with the goal of improving communication and understanding. Women's issues and the search for identity are of interest to me as well.
I believe that inside everyone is a talent or passion that can lead to healing, fulfillment, and times of happiness. When people feel heard, supported and cared about during the therapy process, resourcefulness and hope can reemerge and inner gifts can be revealed.
Before getting my master's degree in marriage and family therapy I studied dramatic arts, visual art and psychology. I believe art and therapy are connected in that therapy involves a creative process and use of one's imagination. If this resonates with you, I look forward to working together.
