I'm a licensed provider in both South Carolina and Florida. I am passionate about mental health, and providing care to those in need. My goal is to provide knowledge, perspective, and tools to work toward building clients to become self-sufficient and understand what they are experiencing. I come from a background of providing inpatient services to psychiatric hospitals, residential centers, and in a detox level of care. I have transitioned to taking my experience and knowledge to provide services in an outpatient level, and make lasting changes in lives of clients.
I serve with a "scaffolding" approach, where clients may lean on me in the beginning, but similar to training wheels, we will work out challenges and dilemmas with a solution-focused manner, that identifies what may be more effective approaches. Change is uncomfortable, but I work to make change fun, less scary, and obtainable.
In my first session, I breakdown the process of therapy, and mention what interventions we can work toward once a foundation is laid out with what treatment will look like. I allow clients to openly process while encouraging vulnerability.
