Whether you are a teen or adult, you are not alone! The decision to talk with a counselor, to share pieces of your life with another individual, takes a great deal of strength and courage. Wounds and traumatic experiences can create intense and distressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and behavioral symptoms. In my work as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I strive to create a safe and genuine therapeutic alliance, which enables each client to feel valued and heard and to foster healing. Be it trauma, anxiety, depression or relationship issues, we will work together to set a pace that feels safe and supportive.
As a certified Developmental and Relational Trauma Therapist (DARTT), I help clients heal wounds that occurred in childhood (ages 0-18) and negatively impact them in adulthood. I also am fully trained in Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (AF-EMDR), an evidence-based treatment used for trauma and other issues.
I believe all people have the potential to build on their personal strengths to experience peace and joy in their lives. I use a person-centered and integrative approach in collaboration with clients to meet their needs. I look forward to our journey together right in the heart Beavercreek!
