Between the demands of school, peers, and social media, life is tough for kids these days—it’s not like when you and I were growing up. I want to help kids and teens balance the challenges of school and home life, and help them discover healthier ways of thinking and better ways to cope with the struggles of being a young person in today’s complicated world. I also love working with older adults who are grappling with the many challenges of aging. Watching friends and family pass, feelings of isolation, and the pain of disease and aging is something that most of us are not prepared to endure. Seniors have a special place in my heart
I spent 10 years in juvenile justice and later worked in behavioral health. I’ve found that partnering with families is key to helping kids thrive. I’ve also worked in senior living, supporting elders through aging—an experience that deepened my respect for our country’s older adults.
As part of Chenal Family Therapy PLC, I consult with our team of therapists and psychiatrists who specialize in different issues, ensuring that all possible treatment approaches are considered. If we encounter problems outside my areas of expertise, I can provide seamless referrals, including testing and medication management, to get you the needed help.
