I most enjoy working with clients who are willing to look within and accept responsibility (not blame) for their thoughts, feelings and behavior. I feel especially honored to work with clients who have had traumatic childhood experiences, including sexual abuse. Although these events can have devastating consequences, I have found that survivors of childhood trauma can also be catapulted to higher than usual levels of consciousness and well-being when the traumas are healed. In other words, therapy is a very gratifying journey to walk with a client. I work well with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, eating disorders and dissociative disorders.
My focus is to assist clients in accessing their own inner wisdom and guidance, as we have the ability to heal ourselves. I navigate clients through a natural process of inner healing relatively quickly. Healing the source of the symptoms, rather than control or management is the goal.
I am accepting and respectful of the client's individual beliefs and lifestyle. As a long time resident of Big Bear, I am familiar with the organizations, activities, groups, meetings, etc in the community, and often refer clients to life enhancing resources.
