I believe people are basically competent, come to therapy because their usual coping skills are not working with problems. I am actively involved: therapy is a working partnership in which we review all your clues and then find solutions that fit for your specific needs. I believe in the healing qualities of relationships. I have trained in Pia Mellody's PIT Model to work with people in recovery from childhood trauma, addictions and relationship problems who are struggling with anxiety, depression and other emotional stresses. I am currently only accepting private pay for new clients.
History of work settings: programs treating incest families, private psychiatric clinic, schools, OB-GYN clinic, private practice. I have learned many skills along the way and tailor my approach for each client so that therapy meets their needs. Pia Mellody's training built a solid working model resolving codependency issues.
In practice for 42 years, have lived my own life as learning to work with others. I listen intensely, try to form partnerships with clients to bring them to their goals. I bring a lifetime of personal and professional knowledge to help plan for improvement in all areas of life. Only accepting private pay package rates for new clients at this time.

Women's Group (45+)
There is an on-going therapy group for women 45+ in which we work on depression and anxiety related to relationship, work/career, health, parenting and other issues on Mondays. Another group for women in their twenties and early thirties meets on Wednesdays from 5:00-7 pm. We use Pia Mellody's PIT model for healing from trauma that impacts our daily lives.
