Gina Sangster's Groups
Early Loss Adult Psychotherapy Group
Psychotherapy group focused on adults who have experienced early loss -- primarily of a parent -- but could be a sibling -- either in childhood, adolescence or 20's. Please note: this group is not intended for those whose loss is RECENT. The group is comprised of individuals who are in their 20's - 30's whose losses occurred anywhere from 5 to 25 years ago. As of November 2019, this group is closed but may reopen in 2020 for an additional member or two.
Recent Loss Young Adult Psychotherapy Group
Distinct from the Early Loss Psychotherapy Group, this group will accept adults in their 20's and 30's who have experienced RECENT loss of a loved one -- parent, sibling or partner. This group will not provide crisis intervention for sudden traumatic death but will be geared toward those whose losses have occurred within the last 1 to 4 years (exceptions can be considered). This group is expected to begin in January 2020.
Wednesday Night Process Groups
Two biweekly psychotherapy process groups, one all women (currently closed); the other mixed gender (currently 5 members with room for 1 - 2 more). Focus on relationships, family history, self-esteem, perfectionism, fear of vulnerability. Currently conducted via Zoom, both groups are biweekly.
