I am passionate about the resiliency of the human spirit in healing from trauma, forming and healing relationships, & finding our way through life’s transitions. I view therapy as a tool to create a safe space to show up authentically and work toward living the life you seek. I work with children (8 & up), teens, adults, & couples who are addressing trauma, issues of identity or self-esteem, anxiety, recovering from narcissistic, sexual, or intimate partner abuse, having difficulty with dating/relationships, & working through divorce, separation, co-parenting, & blending families. Otis, my office dog, usually joins me for sessions.
I am trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), & EMDR, utilizing evidenced-based practices from an anti-racist, person-centered, strength-based, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, & trauma-informed perspective. My therapeutic approach is always customized to meet your individual needs and goals. I am licensed in California.
I am influenced by my experiences as a Latina woman who has experienced childhood trauma, divorce, single motherhood, raising a neurodivergent child, remarriage, & creating a blended multicultural family, and have worked in K-12 schools. I look forward to actively partnering with you to help make the changes you desire, and invite you to come as you are.
