I see therapy as a journey towards an authentic and meaningful life. There are many reasons to use therapy as a tool to move your life onto its best course. Often a crisis forces your hand and you know you can't take the next steps alone. Any major life change in family, relationships, work, or health could be the reason for seeking help. Therapy may also be the right choice when long-standing feelings of anxiety, unhappiness or shame have blocked your path. When our work together ends you will have confidence that your life is in healthy balance.
I enjoy working with many areas of focus including: Body image, mindfulness, LGBTQ, Aging, Life Transitions, and work with Children and Adolescent stages of development as well. I am trained in Ecosystemic Therapy focusing on children's issues as they struggle to fit into the family, community and the world.
I have led groups on Healthy Lifestyles, including tackling Shame around Body Image and Relationships as well as diet failure. I have led Nurturing Parenting Groups, and adolsecent Aggression Replacement Training as well. Both relate to developing positive coping strategies and using love and compassion for self and others. And Victims of DV groups.
