Hello Are there struggles with eating disorders in your life? Have you had a loss of a loved one? Have you lost someone close to you due to suicide? Have you experienced traumatic events in your life? Difficulties with alcohol abuse? If so counseling may help. I will work with you in treatment to find a new ways of living. Therapy may be a way to learn new skills, explore certain issues, and find support in the context of a safe therapeutic relationship. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, grief and loss and alcoholism . I have groups for eating disorders and trauma growth groups at different times of the year. I also work with family members who have lost a loved one to suicide.
I am liceased in the state of Pennsylvania as a Professional Counselor. I am a Cerified Addictions Counselor. I have been trained at the Gestalt Insititue of Cleveland.

Maintaining recovery ,eating disorder therapy

This is a therapy group for women addressing issues that arise from maintaining recovery from all eating disorders. The issues may include body image, children, relationships, family, work, and other, ongoing, food related matters. The group will meet for 8 weeks. The group is closed once it starts. The group will meet on Mondays starting 08/26/2018. 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, weekly. Insurance accepted: UPMC, BC/BC and Aetna. Qualifications include one year in treatment from and eating disorder. And have an individual therapist while in group.

Clinician Therapy Group: Loss of Client to Suicide

WHO statistics 2018 indicate 800,00 people die by suicide every year. Reactions by clinicians and psychiatrist include shock, disbelief, grief, shame, guilt, fear of being blamed, embarrassment, self-doubt, inadequacy, anger and betrayal. Suicide is complicated and impacts clinicians personally and professionally. Often there is a stigma with suicide and professionals. The idea to find support in a group with others who also have gone thru the loss of clients of suicide. The group is small up to 8 participants and will be closed once started. And insurance is accepted (Highmark, UPMC and Aetna) GROUP STARTS OCTOBER 3 2018.
