As an anti-racist, intersectional feminist, I believe in the constant and ever evolving pursuit of social, racial, gender, sexual, economic, and environmental justice. My goal in working with my clients is to address their concerns as a co-collaborator and ally. I take an eclectic approach to counseling utilizing interventions from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, the Gottman Method, and Relational Cultural Theory in order to best serve the needs of the individual, couple, and family.
My areas of specialty include relationship issues and transitions, gender and sexuality exploration, intimacy concerns, spiritual/existential issues, eating and feeding disorders, life transitions, and trauma (including sexual assault and domestic violence recovery). I practice from a HAES-approach (Health at Every Size) when addressing body concerns.
