Two things are able to exist at once: life is messy AND you can have a safe and collaborative space to work through it. As a clinician, I believe in meeting you where you are and empowering each you from a strength-based approach. Starting counseling can be challenging (it’s not easy telling your innermost thoughts to a stranger!) and I aim to have a non-judgmental, genuine, affirming, and accepting space. My goal as a Licensed Professional Counselor is to provide evidence-based practices to foster your personal growth and to provide education on mental and emotional wellness.
I received my graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling from John Carroll University and have extensive experience working with individuals and families on issues such as adjustment and transition concerns, ADHD, depression, anxiety, multicultural issues, stress, self-esteem, and with the LGBTQIA+ population.
I use therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness; I tend to match my techniques to what works best for the client. In my free time, I enjoy traveling to new places, finding new ice cream spots, and cooking. I am excited to meet you and look forward to hearing your goals!
