I am a licensed psychologist based in Bay Ridge who works with adolescents and adults of all ages and backgrounds. We all experience pain in our lives which is very individual and personal. I treat those who experience a wide variety of pain, which may include struggles with anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, bereavement, relationship conflicts, trauma, and professional obstacles. In addition to aiming to provide a supportive and collaborative therapy experience, my philosophy is that there are many roads to healing - therefore, I take on an integrative stance in my work, and use a variety of treatment approaches.
Therapy is a challenging process which requires strength and courage to seek out. For this reason, I look to tap into that strength to help individuals reach their professional and personal goals, better cope with pain, and maintain healthier relationships.
Outside of my private practice I am the assistant director of an outpatient clinic of South Beach Psychiatric Center. I specialize in working with those with severe mental illness, and at our clinic I provide individual/group therapy as well as supervision to our clinicians. I am also the primary supervisor/coordinator of our psychology externship program.
