One of Joan’s specialties is working with adult children of alcoholics (ACOA) and individuals with substance use disorders and their families, recognizing the impact that addiction has on the entire family dynamic.

Claire has a specialized expertise in substance use disorders and is well versed in all pathways to recovery, whether it be for yourself or a loved one. In therapy, my number one concern is creating a safe space for my clients to express themselves, whether it’s through art therapy or talk therapy, or maybe a little of both! I have found that once my clients feel comfortable and supported by me, they have been able to begin making exciting strides in their awareness of themselves and thus, make important changes to enhance their quality of life. My specialty revolves around individual and family systems therapy which includes a unique approach to couples therapy (marriage counseling), life transitions, children, adolesecents and family of origin issues.
