I am experienced in working with people who are dealing with a variety of issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, loss, acculturation, chronic medical problems, relationship problems, academic issues, and adjustment to other life stressors. Each individual requires a unique approach when seeking help in coping with problems of daily living, and I am dedicated to creating a collaborative therapy environment that is based on safety and mutual respect. I tend to be direct and interactive in therapy using an integrative approach and work to empower clients to access their strengths in coping with life issues.

I have experience working with all ages: children, adolescents, young adults, families, and couples; and with those presenting with anxiety, depression, PTSD, CPTSD, developmental disorders, and chronic mental illness, among others. I am grounded in psychodynamic therapy, with an emphasis on attachment based interventions and Family Systems. Furthermore, I integrate different therapies (when needed), taking into consideration the complexity of multicultural perspectives that shape our lives, to meet the unique needs of each individual. I have conducted neuropsychological assessments, and am currently Adjunct Faculty at ISPP.

Many of the clients that I have worked with during the past 27 years have faced stressful life events that have triggered anxiety, depression, and anger. Frequently, these feelings have begun to significantly interfere with relationships, work, and overall sense of self. I provide a safe and respectful relationship that promotes courage and strength to confront and work through these difficult feelings and experiences. By talking with a caring and trained professional, my clients are able to develop new perspectives about themselves and their concerns and this allows them to approach life with increased hope and enjoyment.

Welcome! We are a small, private, multi-clinician practice. I am a supervising clinical psychologist, and am passionate about helping people overcome obstacles in their lives, particularly those stemming from traumatic experiences and events. As a certified family therapist, as well as a certified psychoanalyst, I have the education necessary to see both famiies and individuals.
