I work with clients struggling with addictive patterns, impulse control difficulties, anxiety, and OCD-related tendencies that can leave them feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. These patterns may show up through emotional eating, compulsive exercise, perfectionism, intrusive thoughts, avoidance, overworking, compulsive behaviors, or cycles of self-criticism and shame. My goal is to help clients better understand the function these behaviors serve while developing healthier and more sustainable ways of coping.

My therapeutic approach integrates mindfulness practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I help clients strengthen distress tolerance, emotional regulation, impulse awareness, and self-compassion using journaling, mood tracking, observing urges, processing trauma and more.

I also support clients in learning how to accept limitations, tolerate discomfort, and move away from rigid or perfectionistic expectations that can contribute to anxiety and compulsive behaviors. Together, we explore underlying emotional experiences, relational dynamics, and unmet needs that may be fueling patterns of avoidance, control, or self-soothing.

Starts - Sept. 7 - The goal of this group is to provide teens with a greater sense of energy or zest, knowledge of self and other, capacity to act, sense of self-worth, and desire for further connection. Members will learn to express their feelings appropriately and to contain them in healthy ways by using self-soothing techniques; have a safe environment to understand feelings and how to work through emotions; learn critical thinking in which they first consider their thoughts and feelings and then make decisions; and learn autonomy and make changes or positive choices in their behaviors (risk taking and relational).

Psychoeducation group for young adult couples

In this weekly group, young adult, and their partners will learn about attachment styles and how the relationship they had with their caregivers in early life inform how they relate to their current partners. We'll also discuss how some CBT techniques can help with challenges between couples. Couples will engage in an initial one-on-one appointment with the group facilitator. The virtual group meets on weekday evenings for 1.5hrs. The cost of the group is $60 per couple.
