About
I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) Marriage and Family Therapist who focuses in working with children, teenagers and adults both individually and in the context of their families. I believe therapy can help individuals and families engage in self exploration, build bridges of communication, awaken dormant resources as well as help learn new and effective ways to cope with life challenges. The issues I treat range from anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief/loss to school difficulties, stress and migration challenges.
I also use a collaborative and strength-based approach that includes a cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and family therapy interventions. With parents and adolescents I use a more traditional talk-therapy. And with young children, I use play therapy, sand tray, stories and art therapy interventions to better meet their needs.
Together, we can build a treatment plan that best fits your personal style, goals and needs. If you’d like to learn more about my approach and discuss some of your issues, feel free to schedule an initial free phone consultation.
