As a therapist and education advocate, I want to work with the clients who are ready to work to resolve conflict, process their emotions and relationship issues. Also, to help parents as advocates for their children's educational needs with a IFSP, IEP and 504 Plans. I feel that the role of the therapist and education advocate is a facilitator and support for the client to process what they are experiencing or have experienced. I feel that I am best suited to work with clients from the Family Systems Approach and Advocate of edcuation knowing that each individual is part of a familial context larger than themselves.
As a therapist my specialties are helping clients to resolve familial conflicts, relationship issues, to build their self -esteem, and to deal with daily challenges. With the use of the Family Systems Approach, from childhood to adults. As a Advocate of education my speciality is helping the parent to advocate for their child.
FCOTS was my original extension of my passion for children, families and the community, to share my expertise through therapeutic process. FCOTS is no more, but GHT Counseling & Educational Services is now my extension of how I work in my professional capacity.
