Are you looking for someone who is easy to talk to, who will listen supportively and non-judgmentally, and who will also offer helpful feedback? I'm a licensed psychologist who has helped individuals and couples with a wide range of challenges for over 25 years, including marital, relationship, and communication issues; and problems with depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, alcohol use, and struggles related to a bad childhood. (See "Specialties" and "Issues" below.) Whatever your problems are - individual and/or relationship issues - I offer understanding, compassion, new perspectives, and new ways to cope with challenges.
With individuals as well as couples, I encourage enhanced attention to people's feelings, thoughts, and behavior, and how they interact with each other. With couples, I encourage slowing down and enhancing communication; facilitate respectful understanding of each person's viewpoint; and address blame and defensiveness that often fuel relationship conflict.
I provide therapy only remotely. Since the start of the pandemic, my clients and I have found this to be effective and convenient. Contact me by leaving a private voicemail message at 608-271-8799; or by submitting a secure form from my website, www.greenfieldtherapy.com. I will call you back directly, typically the same day or the next business day.
