Therapy is about a relationship. It's about your relationship to yourself and finding ways to move out of stuck places. I want to get to know you and help you know yourself better. I'd like to help you find some tools to help yourself. Non-judgment, awareness, acceptance and willingness are characteristics I'd like to help you develop. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, divorce, work stress, trauma and codependency. Creating a safe space for you to look at your issues is my goal.
I am an experienced EMDR practitioner. I developed and co-led an exposure based trauma program for 8 years and co-led groups focused on divorce and women's issues for 13 and 15 years respectively. Humor, paradox, and a Buddhist perspective are some things in my toolbox.
I have been in the field for 25 years. I've worked with anxiety, depression, codependency and divorce, with individuals, couples and groups. Working with trauma in multiple modalities - EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy - are of special interest to me. I have a broad range of experience working with many mental health issues.
