Hi, I'm Georgia! I specialize in trauma and the ways adverse experiences become woven into patterns of thinking, feeling, relating, and coping. My areas of focus include PTSD/CPTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), attachment concerns, and relationship difficulties. I also work with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Much of my experience has been in inpatient and residential treatment, and I value the intentional and directional therapeutic style uniquely found within those settings. Therapy does not have to feel like small talk or just checking in!
I utilize DBT (including the full protocol when indicated), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) for anxiety, OCD, and overall psychological flexibility; and trauma-focused approaches including IFS and CPT. I tailor therapy to meet each client’s needs. While you run the show, I play an active role in helping you address the goals you came to therapy with.
Therapy with me typically looks like first processing past experiences and identifying how those presently influence your relationships, thoughts, and emotions. We then work together to shift your relationship with those experiences and finally feel like your core self is in the “driver’s seat.” I would love to work with you and am accepting new clients now!
