My ideal client is someone who is out of answers for some critical predicament in their life and who is committed to the change process now. I follow my clients' excitements and dreads to dialogue with these energies toward mutual knowing. I began as a Gestalt therapist and have evolved through many professional incarnations that are nicely pulled together by the Internal Family Systems perspective. In my work with couples I facilitate expression of your aspirations, needs, and requirements and exploration of the mystery that brought you together!
I have niche specialties working with people with neuropsych issues such as ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Tourette's and Autism. I am a veteran and know what that can leave behind in a person's psyche. I am parent of a person with severe mental health issues and can provide practical help and emotional support to other parents and grandparents.
I am primarily telehealth but am available for in-person sessions on request. I am happy to do a brief introductory phone or Zoom call. I listen and offer advice only if specifically asked and I appreciate specificity about the problem.
