During my 30+ years of clinical practice I find myself working particularly effective with important life transition stages, i.e. adolescents, young adult, mid-life, later-life. I view issues of loss, marriage, divorce, identity, vocation and aging as doorways to a deeper and more actualized life. Out of intensive study, practice, and my own life experiences, I meet the client at their own unique crossroad. Together we engage in a journey of symptom-relief, discovery and new possibilities. I am an active and engaging therapist...learning from hundreds of private practice clients & families & additional hundreds of agency participants.
Extensive experience in addiction & family...developed successful clinical treatment programs, taught at colleges, and consult to agencies. I offer years of college education, extensive continuing education. Among decades of post-doctoral trainings...recently completing certifications from the Jung Institute in Switzerland, MBTI Master Practitioner, Clinical Trauma Professional, & Compassion Fatigue Professional.
I hold a doctorate degree in clinical psychology, master's in social work, master's certification in addiction studies and certified as a Addiction Clinical Supervisor (CCS). As a Board Certified Diplomate, I hold the highest level of professional recognition in my field.
