I believe deeply in the capacity of people to change. If we are struggling and feel stuck in some ways, it’s not because we want to be miserable or are in some way a "bad" person. We simply lack the right kind of support to find our way out. Talk therapy provides a way out. My clients are men, women and couples, who are intelligent and very high functioning yet find themselves struggling with something, or perhaps just have a sense that they are needing something more. Talk therapy can help us gain a deeper understanding of ourselves which can help us live into a fuller and richer life.
I have particular expertise working with men and couples. The inner strivings of men are easily thwarted by external pressures and expectations often leaving a void needing to be filled. And couples often get stuck in patterns that leave them feeling alone and frustrated. Couples therapy can help you make sense of these patterns making change possible.
I believe talk therapy is one of the best investments you can possibly make in your self. It is difficult in this culture of ours to find the kind of space that allows us to freely and openly word our thoughts and experiences.
