In the journey of life, challenges and obstacles will arise which can leave one feeling unbalanced and emotionally depleted. These feelings can make you feel like your self-esteem has taken a hit and leave you feeling unworthy of love and belonging. I feel everyone has the potential to find balance and healing in rewriting their own future story. My goal in working with you would be to provide a safe place to explore and effectively express emotions, set goals to increase quality of life and improve communication skills while rebuilding your self-worth and self-esteem.
My approach to counseling is client centered with a straightforward and nonjudgmental approach. I utilize techniques from a combination of modalities to include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focus and dialectical behavior therapy. I employ different tactics to meet your needs to promote wellness.
I am a military veteran with experience in several different arenas to include corrections, community mental health and involuntary inpatient. I have helped individuals work on improving their overall quality of life. I welcome any opportunity to help individuals seek out and reach their full potential on their road of self discovery.
