I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Texas and my Master's degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University. I have 40 years experience working with adolescences, individuals, couples and families through the educational system and now in marriage and family counseling. I am currently seeing clients virtually at my own practice, Genette Stanton Therapy, LLC in Montgomery, TX. I have been married for 41 years, have 2 married adult children and 5 grandchildren.

I use John Gottman's works on Marriage which includes Marriage & Trauma, 5 Love Languages, Anger Management, Prepare/Enrich, Christian Counseling, CBT and Family System's Therapy.
My philosophy is to treat each client with respect, acknowledging that each individual has worth and value and assuring each client that there is someone in their life who cares for them.
