My name is Genesis Gomez Tello, and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I was born and raised in Downtown, Los Angeles where my passion for breaking generational trauma developed. My goal is to assist my clients in identifying and understanding their challenges to create a better quality of life. My therapeutic approach is the "Here and now." My focus is for my clients to understand who they are and what they are currently feeling to better understand how to make feasible changes. The past is also important however, the present will be our focus.
Therapy is a journey of discovery. I enjoy psychoeducating my client while also helping them uncover and identify their symptoms. I provide an environment that can be humorous and fun, as well as vulnerable and challenging.
Goal setting for clients begins with the "Here and now." We begin where you are today and set Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. During the first session, my client can expect to do a "Meet and Greet." My goal is to get to know you and to get to understand what your communication style is. We will also identify what your goals are.
