I am a Christian counselor that utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to assist clients in managing difficult anxiety/stress levels they may be experiencing. I have over 25 years’ experience as a licensed therapist that specializes in anxiety disorders, depression management and self-care planning. I also assist clients during difficult transitions in their life such as loss of employment, divorce, relationship issues and complicated grief. I enjoy helping clients recognize and challenge intrusive thoughts that often aggravate depression/anxiety and can lead to toxic guilt/procrastination.
I help clients by listening to their concerns, issues and struggles related to their past or current life circumstances. As I listen to client's concerns I pay attention to thinking patterns/ life circumstances and collaborate with client on how they want to make the necessary changes in their life. My specialty is CBT.
I build empathy through active listening, collaborating with the client and assessing what outcomes they want to achieve. Also share my experience with client's on how to Identify and modify intrusive thoughts and core beliefs.
