Hi! My name is Gena Brown, I am a LPC licensed in the state of Oklahoma with over 4 years experience. After working as a Special Education teacher for 11 years I decided to leave the classroom and focus on helping people work through the struggles they face. I have worked with clients from the age of 4 to adult with a multitude of presenting issues such as depression, anxiety, parenting conflicts, behavioral concerns, neurodevelopment disorders, family conflicts, trauma, and PTSD. I believe that each step of the therapeutic process should be goal focused, to help my clients reach therapy goals and personal goals.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and guides clients to increase self-awareness, decrease symptoms, resolve conflicts, increase personal strengths, and set goals to have a more meaningful life experience. My therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and many more.
