Unfortunately, I am not accepting new clients at this time. I work primarily with adults experiencing emotional challenges. This often looks like depression, anxiety, or grief. I also work with individuals going through a transition in life, relationships, career, or health status. During a difficult season in life we are more open to learning new skills and perspectives.

My approach to counseling that life is often uncontrollable, but we can control how we respond, how we communicate, and how we navigate through complex social/personal/professional issues. I work primarily with teens, young adults, college students, and adults on a variety of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, suicide/suicidality, personality disorders, and career/workplace stressors.

Dittmar Counseling Services has been providing therapy to individuals from communities throughout Westmoreland County since 2009. From its inception, treatment for adults, adolescents, families and couples in a quiet, private setting has enabled us to create a safe environment for the development of productive therapeutic relationships to occur. Because of the practice’s growth, we have been able to include adult psychiatric medication management for individuals needing medicinal intervention as well. We continue to offer flexible hours for appointments during the week.

She is a Certified Family Recovery Coach, Certified Event Interventionist & Certified Life Coach. She has Certifications from the National Council For Behavioral Health in Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid. During her 14 year career at USAirways she was an International, Domestic & Inflight training instructor, Flight Attendant, Flight Attendant EAP Peer Counselor, & Emergency/Critical Incident Response Team that included the incidents of Flight 427 & 9/11.

As a counselor I have 20+ years of experience working with adults and children. Techniques used by me are CBT, REBT, ACT, Motivational, Gestalt approach, meditation, relaxation and guided imagery.
